Donna Rikin Zelkowitz

Donna Rikin Zelkowitz, 78, of Las Vegas and formerly of Columbus OH, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Donna was born February 24, 1939 in Cincinnati OH to the late Israel and the late Margaret (Franklin) Rikin. She moved to Columbus at an early age and graduated from Bexley High School. After school, she worked at a television station in Columbus and met her future husband, Stephen Zelkowitz. Always community and philanthropic minded, Donna was very involved with National Council of Jewish Women, ORT, the Columbus School for Girls and the Columbus Academy. Donna is survived by her children Juliet McCarthy and Jonathan Zelkowitz; and grandchildren Helen and Kathleen McCarthy, all of Las Vegas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main Street, Columbus OH, followed by interment at the Agudas Achim Cemetery in Columbus. Shiva will be held in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, Feb. 13-15th, at the home of Juliet McCarthy.
