Dora May Castle

Dora May (Watkins) Castle, 84, of Kingsport went to be with Lord on Friday, October 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Dora was born on May 7, 1934 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Lewes and Annabell Watkins. She was a devoted Christian mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Riley Castle; sister-in-law, Linda Watkins; and brother-in-law, Zemp Wood. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Donnie Castle and wife Kim; daughters, Regina Estepp and husband Stan, Patty Castle Reese, Sherrie Quillen and husband Ron, Brenda Davis and husband Steven; grandchildren, Eric Estepp and wife Kasey, Rachel Castle and wife Donna, Matt Quillen and wife Tina, Mandy LaJoie (deceased) and husband Josh, and Jessi Bradford and husband Jeff; great grandbabies, Jeffrey, Alex, Sophia, Christian, Kenna, Bri, Ali, Rylee, and Bella; brother, John Watkins; sister, Georgia Wood; along with several very, very special friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor David Castle officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
