Dorene Jane Dolan-Hoff

Dorene Jane Dolan-Hoff September 14, 1953 – February 20, 2016 Dorene Jane Dolan-Hoff unexpectedly passed in her sleep on Saturday February 20th in her Boulder Creek home of 35 years. She was 62 years old. She was raised in Southern California, graduated from Azusa High School, class of 1971. Dorene was a spiritual woman who believed in love, beauty and laughter. Her life was devoted to family and nothing brought her greater joy. She was actively involved in Santa Cruz County sports and radiated love as she watched her children and grandchildren participate. For her, family extended to so many that she came in contact with. She made everyone feel welcome in her presence with her generosity and open heart. She loved nature, music, dance, gardening, cooking and vacations to Cabo San Lucas, Maui and Mendocino with her husband, Michael. She found special joy in filling her house with candles and scented oils. She loved cuddling with her kitties and dogs. Dorene was a passionate artist and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her courageous spirit will be deeply missed yet it will live on forever through all the people she touched. Dorene is survived by her husband of 31 years Michael Hoff, her children, Mindi Cahill, Derek Cahill, Jadie Cahill, Nicholas Hoff, Gracie Hoff, and Shane Hoff. She also leaves her grandchildren: Jalen, Caden, Brendan, Isabella, Madison, and Adelene, her three sisters; Patricia Verdugo of Aptos, Virginia Watson of Nevada and Deborah Whitney of Riverside. Dorene was preceded in death by her parents, James Dolan and Dorothy Masters- Healey.
