Doris Kay Ayala
March 27th, 1938 - September 12th, 2022
Doris Kay Ayala peacefully passed away on Monday, Sept. 12th, 2022, of natural causes. She had resided at Life Care Centers of Puyallup for the last 21 years. Doris was born on March 27th, 1938 in Chehalis, WA. to Ora Lavern Wright and Byron Clayton Francis Collins. She was the 3rd of 7 children, Shirley Faye (deceased), Barbara Adell, Marlene Carol, Thomas Michael, Beverly Jean, and Sandra Ray. Doris Graduated from Centralia High School in 1956. She had many trials in the early years of her young adult life, but joy came into her life when she had her first child, Randy. She said for 3 years it was just her and him against the world. In 1961 she met a handsome Mexican man that she would later say, "swept her off her feet" and loved her son like his own. She married Malaquias (Mike) Frias Ayala on February, 27th 1962 in Lewiston Idaho. They had 6 children together in total. She was happy to be a mother and wife to a loving husband. She has 27 Grandchildren, 7 Step-Grandchildren and 30 Great-Grandchildren. She loved to sew, read books, watch late night movies with her husband, play cards and games with her family, and doting on her Grandchildren. It was a sad time when she had a stroke in 2001 that paralyzed her left side causing her to spend her remaining days in a nursing home. She was always quick to laugh and loved her family and the Lord, Jesus Christ above all. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike Ayala who passed away in 2002, and her son Randy, who passed away in 2020. She is survived by her children, Michael Ayala (Julie Ann Ayala), Bob Ayala, Julie Stutz (Brad Stutz), Sherri Heimuli (Semisi Heimuli), Gary Ayala. Although she will be greatly missed, we are so happy she is finally reunited with her sweetheart, Mike, and her son Randy. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 30th, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 13420 94th Ave. E. Puyallup, WA. 98374. There will be a private viewing for family members only prior to the Funeral Services.
