Doris Ann Caudy

Doris Ann Caudy of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born in Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Bender. Doris was a graduate of The New York State Institute at White Plains. She married Victor Caudy in 1950 and raised their children in Cornwall, New York before moving to Hilton Head Island in 1973. Doris was a dental assistant for several years before opening up a bridge teaching studio called “Queen of Hearts.” For many years, Doris was a bridge director as well as an avid player. She was a lover of dachshunds and always had a pair under foot. She is survived by her husband, Vic, their four children: daughter, Susan Olmstead; daughter Christine and her husband Stephen Brown; daughter Debra and her husband Clay Heighton; and son Victor Caudy as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grands. Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Doris’ life at 3 Water Thrush Place on Saturday, August 18, 2018 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Hilton Head Humane Association.
