Doris Dorie Fiello
July 16th, 1926 - May 7th, 2015
My Life Story Dorie was born on July 16, 1926, in Fullerton, California to Maude Mae (Hoskins) and Thomas Francis O’Brien. A fourth generation Californian, her early years were spent enveloped by the smell of orange blossoms. Her family moved to Inglewood where she attended schools, graduating in 1943 from Inglewood High. At the Hollywood Palladium, Dorie met Thomas David Fiello, a Marine stationed in San Diego. He later insisted that when he saw her across the room that night, he said she was the most beautiful girl in the room and remarked to a friend, “I’m going to marry that girl.” They were married on May 18, 1944. Raised as a single child, Dorie said she always wanted a large family. She raised six children and is survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family was Dorie’s greatest passion and interest. She was devoted to her parents and her husband, and most of her time and energy was spent nurturing her children. The spiritual and emotional leader of the family, she was a devout Catholic and a prayerful person. As a member of the “greatest generation,” Dorie was very patriotic. Although she loved her Irish heritage and celebrated her husband’s Italian traditions, she voiced a belief that we are all Americans first. Dorie is survived by her daughters: Carolyn and her husband, Ron Bailey; Diane Fiello; Paula and her husband, Gary Hartgrove; Monica Fiello and her husband, Richard Thorne; son, Tom Fiello and his wife, Denise Scavera; sister, Kathy and her husband, Don Forsythe, and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, David Fiello. *See Service Information Page*

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
