Doris Greenbaum, age 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Doris was born May 12, 1928 in New York, NY to the late Morris and the late Celia (Kessler) Bier. She retired from her work as a secretary for the Rowlend Unified School District in California. Some of her interests included mah jong and crocheting. She was often giving of her time and energy to others, whether through sewing stuffed animals for children in the hospital, serving as a hospital volunteer or caring for the less able-bodied people she knew. Doris was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Doris is survived by her sons Paul (Diona) Greenbaum of Las Vegas, Jay Greenbaum of Hickory NC, Brian (Kathy) Greenbaum of Tampa FL, and Floyd (Lisa) Greenbaum of Perris CA; sisters Joan (Eli) Guttman of Arcadia CA and Wendy Zeitlin of Las Vegas; grandchildren Michelle Greenbaum, Sean Greenbaum, Kristen Diaz and Sarah Greenbaum; and great granddaughter Alexandra Greenbaum. The funeral was held on Friday, July 2, at Eden Cemetery, in Mission Hills, CA.
