" Palmer- Doris S. (Sherman) Hatch, 92, of Pine St., died Sept. 29, 2002 in Mary Lyon Nursing Home. Born June 6, 1910 in North Adams, she was the daughter of the late Gordon & Agnes (Rock) Sherman. Doris has lived in Palmer since 1963. She worked as a librarian at both the Monson & Palmer Library, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Hampden Federated Church, a member of the Corona Chapter 205 order of the Eastern Star in E. Longmeadow, she was past matron and past deputy grand matron. Her husband Ralph B. Hatch predeceased her in 1991. Doris is survived by 2 daughters Judith Hatch of Littlefalls, NJ and Harriot Henrichon of Bondsville. She also leaves 3 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. A granddaughter Diane Henrichon predeceased her in 1997. A funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 pm in the BEERS & STORY PALMER FUNERAL HOME, followed by burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Hampden. A calling hour will be Thurs. from 12:30-1:30pm. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 31160 Hartford, CT 06150-1160. "
