Doris Reiswig

Doris Anne Reiswig, age 84, passed away on March 14, 2013. She was born June 8, 1928 to Alfred & Mary Lou Coatney in Akins, Oklahoma. She spent her childhood in Oklahoma and Texas and the family eventually moved to the Imperial Valley in southern California. The majority of Mom’s adult life was in Salinas, California where she was a stay at home Mom for several years before beginning a career in retail sales at Payless Drugs. After moving to Caldwell in 1989 Mom resumed working in cosmetic sales at Pennywise Drugs until she retired in the mid 1990’s. When not canning tomato or apple sauce, Mom enjoyed her word scramble puzzles and was also active in Meals on Wheels and the Nampa Senior Center. Mom’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Elmer and is survived by her daughter Brenda Caldeira & husband Allen of Caldwell and son Richard Potter of San Jose, California. Also surviving are 3 sisters, 4 grandchildren (Peggy, Mike, Dan & Brian Borchard) as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2013, 6:00PM followed by a rosary at 7:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 22, 2013, 11:00AM at Canyon Hill Cemetery. Service Information
