Doris Eileen Stoeffler
July 25th, 1924 - April 13th, 2022
Stoeffler, Doris 97, of St Petersburg FL, died at home with her family on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Born at home in Patterson, New Jersey, she and her husband, August raised their three daughters living an adventurous life which included living in many interesting places in the US and abroad before retiring in St. Petersburg in 1977. Loving Wife and Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother; she was a Registered Nurse, avid sailor, sports enthusiast and skilled amateur water colorist. She is survived by her husband August, of 73 years and three daughters; Gay (Tom Taggart) Jill and Kim (Mark Maykranz); four Grandchildren and four Great-Grand Children. As our mother reflected on her life with the caregivers from Hospice she told them, “My life has been a dream…and there is nothing more for me to do here.” Plans are being made to celebrate her dream-filled life in May. In lieu of flowers the family would like all donations to be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
