Dorotha Nave, 99, wife of the late William T. Nave, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019. She was born July 6, 1920, in Mitchell, Indiana to the late Harley and Dovie Alexander. Mrs. Nave was the co-owner of the Milk Jug and a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Bob (Emma) Nave, Betty Prather, Beverly (Billy) Woodrum; son-in-law, Don Frederick; grandchildren, Kent (Denise) Nave, Buddy (Della) Prather, Jr., Kim (Dave) Prather Paske, Marty (April) Prather, Donita (Chris) Frederick Browning, Brandi (Carl) Frederick Pitts, Scott (Gayla Clark) Canter, Lorrie (Jason Helton) Pennington, Heidi (Aaron) Pullin and Brandi Canter; great grandchildren, Will, Nicki, Tyler, Jessica, Kyle, Trey, Lane, Olivia, Christian, James Thomas, Toby, Brianna, Makayla, Michael, Matthew, Emily, Austin, Icy and Tori; and great- great grandchildren, Chandler, Abby, Aiden, Sarah, Maddox, Junie and James. In addition to her husband of 73 years, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Frederick and Billie Canter and sons in law, Buddy Prather, Sr. and Phillip Canter. Funeral Service will be 12:30pm Monday, December 30, 2019, at Parkway Baptist Church 1915 North Broadway Lexington, KY 40505. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Will Nave, Michael Pennington, Matthew Pennington, Scott Canter, Buddy Prather, Jr., Tyler Paske, Trey Prather, and James Thomas Browning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkway Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at The Willows at Hamburg, Carolyn Ross and her beloved dog Scooter.
