Dorothea Alice Lane April 23, 1926 " February 25, 2016 Dorothea Lane, age 89, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Mecklenburg Health & Rehabilitation Center. Dorothea was born in Surprise Nebraska, April 23 1926. She is a former resident of Willard, Missouri, moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in May 2013 to be closer to her son, Carroll. She was preceded in death by parents Neal and June Jones; her husband Carroll; her sister Norma Johnson; and brother Ray Jones. She is survived by her sister Anna Belle Elderton of Willard, Missouri; her daughter, Sharon Kittelmann of Muskegon, Michigan, and grandchildren Ralph Kittlemann and wife Danai, Gaylord Kittlemann and wife Dana, Grace Klinger and husband Mark, and Colleen Barret and husband John; her son, Carroll Lane and wife Nancy of Charlotte North Carolina, grandchildren Deana Berrey and husband James, and David Lane and wife Whitney; fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A child of the Great Depression she had a long and eventful life and has gone home to be with the Lord. May she have peace everlasting. Dorothea will be buried with her husband, Carroll, at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Tribute Cremation Society is serving the Lane family.
