Dorothy Margaret Kessler Burgess, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2018. She was born on a beautiful summer day on June 25, 1933 in a Model-A car on the way to the hospital in Nevada City. She was the third born child to John Dewey and Hazel May Kessler. Dorothy is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Elwin and Kenneth, sister Edna and her husband, Orville. She is survived by her sister, Arlene, four children William Marlin, Marvin and Melvin Burgess and Brenda Mench and their spouses, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a warm ray of sunshine to everyone's lives she touched. Each day she made this world a better place with her kindness and ability to make people laugh. Dorothy lived for her family, was their biggest fan in everything that they did and she always made sure they knew how much they were loved. Dorothy leaves this world a better place by blessing so many lives, making so many laughs and teaching everyone she met how to love. We will forever be grateful and blessed for this beautiful, loving and kind lady who was a mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. We will love you always and live our lives with as much love, laughter and kindness as you did each day. The funeral service will be at noon on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Avenue, Sutter followed by a celebration of life at the North View Park, 180 Virginia Way, Williams.
