Carlson, Dorothy W. 94, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, February 16, 2008, at the home of her caregiver, Sandra Stone. Born in Clarion, PA on June 17, 1913, she came to St. Petersburg in 1925. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School, Class of 1931. In 1934, she married Edwin C. Carlson, a very loving union that lasted 48 years until his death in 1982. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, past President of the Exchangettes of St. Petersburg, All Children's Hospital Auxiliary, former member of the Museum of Fine Arts and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survived by daughter, Sally Lou Carlson Cronk, St. Petersburg; sons, Dr. Edwin Charles Carlson, St. Petersburg, and John Dennis Carlson, Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Edwin Carlson Welch, St. Petersburg, Jason Spencer Cronk, Louisville, KY, John Dennis Carlson Jr., Bloomfield Hills, MI, Justin Paul Carlson, Charlotte, NC, Edwin Lance Carlson, Scottsdale, AZ, Luna Ashley Carlson, Charlotte, NC, Carrie Carlson Mehltretter, St. Petersburg, Kathryn Carlson, Gainesville, FL; and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Nathaniel, Elle and Anna.
