Dorothy Arlene DuBose, 91, of Caldwell, died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at West Valley Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Fargo Cemetery on Fargo Rd. in Wilder. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Dorothy “Arlene” was born to Robert and Ona (Reno) Robuck on December 19, 1925, in Snyder, CO. She was one of 7 children. She was raised in Wilder, ID and graduated from Wilder High School in the class of 1943. After high school, while supporting the war effort by working on aircraft at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Arlene met her husband of 56 years, Joseph DuBose. They were married on May 7, 1944 and resided in Idaho, Georgia, South Carolina, Oregon, Washington and settled back to Caldwell, ID in 1957. Arlene was employed for over 23 years at the University of Idaho, Caldwell as a microbiology tech. She was a devout member of the Church of Christ in Caldwell and she raised seven children; six boys and one daughter. Family was the most important thing to her; she loved to share her joy of cooking, baking, sewing, birds and gardening with her vast family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene held dear her yearly camping trip to Baumgartner, where she would enjoy time with all those she loved. Arlene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph DuBose; her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her children, Joe (Helen) DuBose, Daniel (Linda) DuBose, Mitchel (Kathy) DuBose, David (Tara) DuBose, Jeanine (Virgil) Cornwell, Jeff DuBose and John DuBose; 26 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Church of Christ in Caldwell. Condolences may be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com. Service Information
