None Dorothy Mary Edwards Gonia Dorothy Mary Edwards Gonia, 80, of Tenino, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Dorothy was born September 29, 1929 in Tenino to Frank and Tyyne (Peters) Peterson. She was raised in Tenino and attended Tenino High School. On September 28, 1946, she married Joseph R. Edwards. Joe died in 1977. Dorothy married Darrell Gonia on August 13, 1979. They lived in Bucoda until his death in 1994. Dorothy was a homemaker, taking care of her family. She enjoyed working in the yard, flowers, traveling, playing cards and spending time with her family playing at the beach. She is survived by four sons, Forrest, Joseph, Donald and Blaine Edwards; three daughters, Joanna Watson, Dianna Babbitt and Debbra Gadd; two step-sons, Randy Gonia and Steve Gonia; two step daughters, Linda Brown and Cindy Henry; also twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will begin at 11:00am Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 196 Central in Tenino. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery with a reception following at the Tenino Eagles Lodge. Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to O’Bee Credit Union. Funds will be used for a memorial in Dorothy’s name at Quality Care Family Home, where she received loving care for the last year and a half.
