Dorothy Hirsch was born December 29, 1923 in London, England. She passed away on January 27, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dorothy came to work in America with her Uncle, Lionel Hirsch, and Aunt, Marjorie Hirsch after World War II. For over forty years, she helped manage their gift shops on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey and at the Pier in St. Petersburg, Florida. She traveled between New Jersey and Florida until a few years ago, enjoying her retirement. She is survived by her cousin, David Hirsch of Brentwood, Tennessee, dear friend, Kay Morgan of St. Petersburg, Florida, niece Andrea Asbury of Van Alstyne, Texas and cousin, Janice Hirsch of Stuart, Florida. There also are a number of surviving cousins living in Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee and Colorado. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida on February 19th, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. A gathering of family and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. will be followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorials be made in Dorothy's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60601 or Suncoast Hospice, Coral Team, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Florida 33769 David C.
