Dorothy (Dot) Kern July 30, 1946 - August 13, 2024.

Dot was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Dorothy Butler.  Dot grew up and lived in NJ until 1999 when her and her husband Dick moved to Englewood, Florida.   Dick and Dot would have been married 60 years on September 13th. Dot's world was her family and dogs. She was a great cook and was always asked to make chocolate chip cookies and her cheesecake.  She loved going on Carnival cruises. Dot was involved in the German Shorthaired Pointer Club and also the Englewood Fishing Club.  Dot was an avid fisherwoman.  She out fished many.

She is survived by her husband Richard (Dick) Kern, her daughter Karen Ollerenshaw, Son in law Ronald Ollerenshaw, granddaughters, Brooke Azlin, Katie Creech and Kayla Nissen, great grandchildren Cameron, Colin and Cal Creech, Walker Azlin and soon to be baby Nissen. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Kern.

There will be a celebration of life for Dot on September 28, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at 646 Rotonda Circle Rotonda, Florida.
