Dorothy "Lenaghan" E. Kindall

October 27th, 1915 - September 14th, 2012

Dorothy E. Kindall, 96, of Caldwell went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 14, 2012 at a Caldwell care center. Dorothy was born in Middleton, Idaho on October 27, 1915 to Fredrick and Lavada Lenaghan. Dorothy’s father moved the family’s house from Middleton to Star which they lived in for many years. She and her five sisters and two brothers attended school in Star. Dorothy married Kirby A. Kindall in 1934 in Hailey, Idaho. They had one son, Kirby L. Kindall. Together they farmed, ran a lumber mill, and eventually she attended cosmetology school. Dorothy operated several beauty salons around the Caldwell area, and later became a cosmetology instructor. She was a faithful member of the Caldwell Rebekah Lodge and served in many offices of the local chapter. Dorothy loved antiques and owned a shop at her home on River Road in Caldwell for many years. One of her favorite past times was fishing, and she could be ready to go camping on a moment’s notice. Special thanks to Andrew Elison and Pastor Don Bertelson for their years of help and support, and also the people at The Oregon Trail Church of God who brought food and visited her weekly. Also for the ladies who cared for her at home and later Heart & Home Hospice. Dorothy is survived by one son, Kirby L. Kindall; five grandchildren: Evie, Julie[Clyde] DeLoach, Sheril [David] Karstens, Brenda Kindall, and Kevin Kindall; ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
