Dorothy M. Losi

Mrs. Dorothy M. Losi, 96, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday July 22, 2010. She was born February 17, 1914 in College Point, N.Y. and was educated and graduated high school there. Early in her life, Mrs. Losi was a seamstress for National Casket Co. in Flushing, N.Y. She was a home maker most of her life, devoting her time to raising her family. Dorothy also made time for her church where she taught Sunday school. For many years, Dorothy had spent summers in Mayfield while wintering in Florida. She moved to Gloversville in 1997. She is survived by her children: Paula Becker of Gloversville and Peter P. Carol Losi of Northport, N.Y. Dorothy is also survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Paul J. Losi whom she married January 19, 1937, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Monday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. Burial will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. at 2:30 pm. Monday. There will be no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Pineview Commons Activity Fund, 201 S.
