Dorothy "Dean" Dean Markum
February 15th, 1934 - September 5th, 2015
Dorothy Nell "Dean" Markum, born February 15, 1934 to the late C.H."Doc" and Annie Marie Dean of Paris, Arkansas departed on her latest adventure September 5th. She had a love for travel (most travels taking place after the age of 70). Dean was a lifelong learner, reading constantly to improve her knowledge of life. Her love for music and art were only surpassed by her deep love for her family and friends-adoring her four children and their families (Whitt Markum, wife Liz, children Lauren and Travis, Erin Markum Maselli, husband James, children Ember and Anthony, Kristin Markum Overbay, children Jonathan, Samuel and Shane, Cory Markum Case, husband Craig, children Craig, Jr. and Colton). She lived a life of faith and gratitude and practiced random acts of kindness wherever she went. Dean's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony at the beach to commemorate her love of the ocean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Satellite Beach Public Library in her memory.
