Columbia - Dorothy Leake Nodine - A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy Leake Nodine, 91, of Columbia, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, Room B-201, 201 Lake Murray Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063. Dr. Tim Phillips will officiate. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington assisted the family with arrangements. Mrs. Nodine passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late James Lewis and Madge Chandler Leake, Sr. She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, where she taught the Lamplighters' Sunday School class for many years. She is survived by her son, Dr. Stephen Nodine (Alice) of Herndon, VA; daughter, Peggy Rish (Marvin) of Lexington; son, Craig Nodine (Sherry) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Sara Nodine, Suzanne Aldridge (Andrew), Sonny Nodine, Amber Nodine, step-grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Abigail Aldridge; step great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Leake (Mary Eloise) of Anniston, AL; sister-in-law, Ruth Leake; brother-in-law, Bob Maxwell. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Huelon H. Nodine; brother, James Leake, Jr.; sister, Barbara Maxwell. Memorials may be made to Riverland Hills Baptist Church, Senior Adult Ministries Activities Fund, 201 Lake Murray Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063.
