Dorothy Lee Poindexter

Dorothy Lee Poindexter, 101, of Boise passed away on June 3, 2020. Dorothy was born on September 29, 1918 in Screven, GA to Sherrod and Addie Smith. Dorothy married Charles T. Poindexter in 1938 and they were loving parents to five children. Dorothy was very artistic, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking pies. She made pies for many restaurants. Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Sandra Joan VanHooser and Patricia Wilcox; son-in-law, Stuart Wilcox; daughter-in-law, Christine and sister, Ellen Joyce Warner and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Charles; son, Thomas King Poindexter; daughter, Sarah Jean Fortier and son, Richard Irvin Poindexter.
