LAND O’ LAKES, FL & MILLINOCKET, ME- Dorothy "Dot" (Santerre) Raymond went peacefully to the Lord on February 28, 2018 after a brief illness. She had been in the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL at the time of her passing. She was born on September 12, 1928, the oldest daughter of Herbert and Louise (Martin) Santerre. Dot was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy, St. Martin of Tours Parish in Millinocket until moving to New York to live with her daughter Paula and her family. After living with them for almost a year she then moved to Florida to live with her son Phil and his family. While in Millinocket she was active in her parish, working in the parish Thrift Store and participating in other parish functions. She was involved with the Katahdin Area Support Group. She was a long time member of the Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #392. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Paula Hughes and her husband William "Gerry", her son Philip and his wife Christinea "Tina", grandchildren Josh and his wife Jessica, Anthea, Ashley Miller, Meaghan, Matthew, Emily and Joseph Raymond, two brothers Ernest and his wife Ann of Millinocket, Herbert "Joe" and his wife Patricia; sisters Florence Picard, Irene Tapley, Rena Hughes and her husband Albert, Ernestine Quackenbush and her husband Harold, Mary Ann St. Peter and her husband Harold, sisters-in-law Mary Santerre, Joanna Santerre, Beatrice Charette and Maxine Morrow, many nieces and nephews and special cousin Egbert Plourde and his wife Mary. She was pre-deceased by the love of her life, her husband Philip of 59 years, her parents Herbert & Louise, her brothers Wilfred, Clarence, Richard and Delphis and sister Verna, brothers-in-law Alfred Picard, Roland "Babe" Beaulieu, Leon "Guy" Charette, Wallace Tapley, sisters-in-law Lorena Santerre, son-in-law John Miller, brothers-in-law Donald Charette, Joseph Melvin Raymond, Kenton Morrow, and nephew Ronald "Butch" Charette. There will be no visiting hours. There will be a funeral service and burial in the spring in Millinocket. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to any of the following: St. Martin's Food Pantry, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, ME 04462; The Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462, St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Land O Lakes, Fl or masses in her memory. Her favorite masses were 4:30pm Saturday and 5/6 pm Sunday.
