Dorothy Pauline Shreve Dorothy Pauline Shreve died peacefully at Country House on March 19, 2016. She would have been 100 years old on March 20, 2016. She was a resident at Country House for 12 years. Dorothy was born in Chico on March 20, 1916 to Isaiah & Mary Shepherd. Dorothy shared her early years with brothers John, Elven, Loyd, Warren, Wayman and sister Lucy. Dorothy attended Chico schools and married George Derril Shreve on August 9, 1936. They had three daughters: Marilyn Jhoanne Rix (Dave Rix), Joyce Forberg (John Forberg) and Judy Dutro (Gary Dutro). Following retirement, they lived in Orland, CA for 20 years. Dorothy & Derril spent 68 wonderful years together on their ranch. Dorothy will be remembered for her hard work, her generous giving and always being there. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Judy Dutro. She leaves behind daughters Marilyn Jhoanne Rix and Joyce Forberg, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Brusie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Brusie Funeral Home on Friday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial at Chico Cemetery.
