Dorothy Jean Towle

January 25th, 1920 - November 4th, 2013

'Jean passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She was born in Montana, but grew up in the McMinnville-Yamhill, OR area and lived her adult life in Portland and Tualatin. Jean worked at U.S. National Bank for over 30 years, starting in Yamhill as a teller, shortly after high school graduation, and retiring in 1986 from the International Banking division at U.S. National Bank. Jean had a fondness for gardening and traveling. She was a Master Gardener and was active in volunteer work, spending many years as a dresser for Portland Opera. She will be remembered for being a loving grandmother to her four granddaughters and giving a loving home to many 4-legged pets over the years. Jean is survived by her children, Cordes and Jill, their spouses and four granddaughters. A service in Jean's honor will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 19th at A Jesus Church located at 10500 SW Nimbus Avenue in Portland. The service will be held in the Video room in Building T located on the left at the end of Nimbus.
