Doyle L Gardner

Doyle "Buck” Gardner, 82, of Brighton, received his wings on March 8, 2019 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Lynn and Hazel (Lewis) Gardner on December 22, 1936 in Leon, Iowa. Buck moved to Brighton with his family at the age of 5 where he helped on the family farm. Buck proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Buck was a kind, loving and joyful individual. He was child of God and faith. He loved gardening and spending time at Blackhawk playing the slot machines. He had a deep love for animals, especially livestock. Above all, he adored his family, particularly his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he was their "PA Buck” Buck is survived by his children, Don (Cherie) Gardner, Ron (Anastasia) Gardner and Kelly Gardner; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his first wife and the mother of his children, Kathy Gardner. Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Gardner; his parents; grandson, Levi; siblings, Gary, Bill and Florence. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Buck’s name to the "Johnstown VFW" in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Life Celebration Memorial for Buck will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Country Gospel Cowboy Church, 25 South Denver Avenue in Johnstown, Colorado.
