Duane R. Lucas
July 15th, 1951 - July 10th, 2021
Duane R. Lucas, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and three children on July 10, 2021 at 1418 in the afternoon. He was born July 15,1951 to Albert Lucas and Helen Bobo in Barstow, Ca. Duane grew up in Wenatchee, WA; Hilo, HI; and Atlanta, GA. Duane enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, playing with his grandkids and getting to know anyone that would talk with him. He took time to enjoy individual trips with each of his children to Arizona, Washington, Alaska, and California. He also took his loving wiffy on many day trips around Colorado, they especially loved going to Estes Park to watch the aspens turn and listen to the bugling elk. Duane was a Godly and loving man, strong teacher of the Ez-Pz life lessons and an amazing role model to his three children and many grandchildren. He especially loved playing his organ in the evenings, watching the Broncos play with his nacho and veggie plate. He taught his sons the fine art of woodworking, understanding the bible and how to ride a motorcycle. He taught his daughter about the bible, cooking and how to be patient and understanding to people. He loved having his special conversations with her. He also taught all of his children how to grow a plentiful garden. Duane was an excellent grandfather to his nine grandchildren teaching them how to play the piano, rough housing with the boys, camping, fishing, watching dance recitals, teaching his special dance moves and playing "fetch” the ball with his newest granddaughter. He is survived by his Wiffy DeChantal and their three children: oldest daughter Danielle Hoff her husband Gerald Hoff and one child Madison Hoff; oldest son Duane (Randy) Lucas his wife Marsha and four children Emerald, Nolan, Tanner, Ashleigh and a great granddaughter; youngest son Jason Lucas his wife Christine Lucas their four children, Taylor, Connor, Kylie and Brennen and his sister Vicia Nunley who lives in Arizona. Preceded in death by his parents Albert Lucas and Helen Bobo, and sister Tina Hudson. A kind and generous man, he will be missed and loved by all those touched by his presence. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, invitations will be sent.
