ELKTON — A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene for Duane “Huggy Bear” Schultz of Elkton, who died Sept. 30 of cancer. He was 67.He was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Lynch, Neb., to Erick and Viola Alford Schultz. He married Janice Elaine Hamilton on June 26, 1979, in Lake Tahoe.He graduated from Elkton High School in 1963. He worked as a heavy-equipment operator for International Paper Co. and then for Roseburg Forest Products until his retirement in November 2010.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tessa House of Hinesville, Ga.; a brother, Bill Andrews of Tigard; five sisters, Linda Brush of Oregon City, Nola Walker of Dallesport, Wash., Jeanie Spriet of Salem, Candace Walden of Oregon City and Carol Redman of Hanford, Calif.; and two grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
