Duane Woolever
June 3rd, 1943 - November 26th, 2023
Duane E. Woolever, 80, of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away on November 26, 2023 at Home Again Assisted Living where he resided for the past four years. Duane was born on June 3 , 1943 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to Maynard and Evelyn (Jones) Woolever. He was a 1961 graduate of Weston High School in Cazenovia, Wisconsin. On March 16, 1963 Duane married Jeanette Higginbotham and together they raised one son and four daughters in Deerfield. Duane held various jobs throughout his career and retired from Overhead Door Company of Madison, Wisconsin in 2000. Duane was a member of Willerup Church in Cambridge, Wisconsin. He enjoyed repairing small engines, gardening, riding his motorcycle and volunteering his time at church and with RSVP. Duane was known to witness to people and tell them about the Lord any chance he had. He was always willing to help others despite living with chronic pain. Duane is survived by his children, Jeni Woolever of Madison, Mark (Lori) Woolever of Deerfield, Janice (Alan) Lund of Cambridge, Rhonda Woolever of Madison, Dawn (Dan) Martin of Deerfield; eight grandchildren; Mitch (Alyssa) Woolever, Brooke (Jacob) Aitken, Katie Lund, Aaron (Talicia) Lund, Megan (Peter) Sowinski, Makayla Martin, Macy Martin, Maddy Martin; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Woolever; siblings, Karen (Bill) White of Buda, TX, and Jeneen Johnson of Bowling Green, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Woolever; parents Maynard and Evelyn Woolever; and brother, Charles and Roger Woolever. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11AM at Willerup Church, 414 W. Water St. Cambridge, WI 53523. A visitation will take place from 9AM until the time of service.
