Duwayne Harvey Roberts
June 24th, 1934 - March 6th, 2013
Duwayne was born in Douglas, North Dakota to Harvey and Bernice Roberts. He graduated from Woodburn High School previous to serving in the U.S. Army for three years. While in the Army he served one tour in Korea. He married Bonnie Bell Madden on April 24, 1954; they were married for 59 years. Duwayne worked in the sawmill and lumber business for over 30 years. He was a Forman, installer and troubleshooter which took him all over the world from Japan, to Russian and Canada. Duwayne founded the Tigard AA Chapter; he was sober for 35 years. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, spending time with his grandkids and camping. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son Jeff and daughter in law, Beth; granddaughters, Aleesha, Cierra and Kalli; and sisters, Phyllis Campbell and Marilyn Edmunds. He will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Oregon Pulmonary Associates or the COPD alliance at COPD.org. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
