DuWayne "Dewey" Michael Springer
August 2nd, 1931 - May 7th, 2015
DuWAYNE "DEWEY" M. SPRINGER age 83, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday May 7, 2015 at his home in Jefferson. He was born on August 2, 1931 in Edgar Wisconsin son of the late Michael and Annastaisa (Kowalewski) Springer. He married Dolores Lipski on September 29, 1951 in Jefferson; she preceded him in death on July 11, 2008. DuWayne was employed at Furniture and Appliance Center in Jefferson for many years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Usher Society. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul, and served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 9 ½ years. He will be deeply missed by his family; daughters; Deborah Kylmanen of Jefferson, Diane (Terry) Gard of Oconomowoc. Sons; Daniel (Mary) Springer of Jefferson, and Dennis (Mary) Springer of McFarland. Nine grandchildren; Mackenzie and Kyle Kylmanen, Jessica (Paul) Gephart, Hailey (Jason) Nenonen, Mitchell (Tzvia) Springer, Nicole (Chris Kowalski) Springer, Karli (Jamal Jensen) Springer, Jacob Springer, Hannah Springer. Two great grandchildren; Colten Gephart and Sophie Jensen. He is also preceded in death by sisters; Dorothy Brzezinski, and Marcella Schauss, and brother Alvin Springer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for DuWayne will be at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those wishing to give a memorial in DuWayne's name may direct them to St. Vincent de Paul, Jefferson Rainbow Hospice, or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
