Duyane Earl Canada
March 5th, 1941 - September 13th, 2021
Duyane Canada passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. He will be so deeply missed by his family and friends. Duyane grew up in south central Nebraska. His desire to travel started very early in life. He would ride with his dad to Hastings and Omaha to purchase parts for his dad’s trucking company. His dad owned an oil company which included a service station, two small truck stops and 16 semi-trucks that hauled petroleum products and livestock from Nebraska to the west coast. Duyane learned to drive diesel trucks at the same time he was learning to drive cars – at the age of 13. He would ride with the drivers to pick up a load of fuel or to haul cattle for a farmer. Duyane would get to drive the empty trucks home. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and then went to Europe for 7 months. He was employed by LTV Aerospace for several years and was able to travel all over the U.S. for work. Duyane was employed by 2 trucking companies in Texas as a driver and eventually promoted into management. He then moved to Arizona and purchased his own truck. He was owner/operator of Canada Transport. Later he was owner/operator of Citadel Tours taking Europeans to Mexico and around the Western United States in a luxury coach. Duyane purchased his first airstream in 1978 and was an avid enthusiast of all things airstream. He met Judy while working in Alaska. They were married and continued to travel. They had many fun times touring all over the country in their airstream trailer and thy have a wonderful community of friends made during their travels. Duyane loved to watch the Nebraska Corn Huskers football team – “Go Big Red!” as well as the Boise State Broncos. Judy would like to thank Dr. Mary Quandt and the entire care team at St Luke’s Eagle Rd for their compassion, support and care of Duyane. Duyane was a member of Central Valley Baptist Church in Meridian. He requested no services be held because of COVID. Remembrance contributions can be sent to Central Valley Baptist Church or the Boise Rescue Mission in his name.

We Entrusted Duyane Canada's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
