February 21st, 1953 - April 19th, 2016
Dwight Whitaker, 63 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center, He enjoyed working outdoors. He was self- employed most of his life. Fishing was by far his greatest enjoyment. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Annie Whitaker; brothers, E. G. Whitaker and Clifford Whitaker and sister Marie Gregg. Survivors include his sons, Steven Whitaker (Terri), and Timothy Whitaker. Brothers Roy Whitaker (Elsie) and Jack Whitaker (Ella Mae); grandchildren, Gage Whitaker, Lacey Whitaker, Autumn Whitaker, Mitchell Rohrbaugh, Robert Whitaker and William Whitaker. At the families request the funeral was private Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Whitaker family.
