E. Hamilton Hurst Mr. Hurst, 83 of Pawley?s Island and Lake Wylie, SC died Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Formerly of Charlotte North Carolina and Lake Forest Illinois, Mr. Hurst was born November 10, 1928, son of the late Eugene Hamilton Hurst and Christine Halliday Hurst of Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Michigan State University and the Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Hurst was a retired executive with Nalco Chemical Company and a US Army veteran. Mr. Hurst is survived by his wife, Jane Mott Hurst; two sons, Stephen D. Hurst and his wife, Carol of Lake Forest, IL: Charles Hamilton Hurst and his wife, Leslie of Negaunee, MI; daughter, Patricia Halliday Hurst of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Stephen Hamilton Hurst, Katherine Halliday Hurst and Eric David Hurst; and a sister, Mary Kay Thompson and her husband Guerin of Iowa City, IA. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial donations to Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Garden Drive, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29676 (843) 235-6000.
