E. Ann Sargent
September 15th, 1942 - September 4th, 2020
Ann Warran Sargent, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020. The wife of Gilbert “Sarge” Sargent, was born September 15, 1942, to the late Leonard and Elnora Camby Warran in Rensselaer, Indiana. A member of King’s Way Church, Ann was a Godly woman, always crediting Him for her talents and gifts of Sunday school teacher, youth leader, piano player, organist, and allowing her to become and continue to live her life as a woman of God. Ann loved Jesus, Elvis and John Wayne, in that order. She was a tremendous softball player in her younger years, and a dedicated pharmacy employee. She began with Super X, which became Revco, worked with Terry Smith for a while, then for CVS, which is in the same building as the previously mentioned pharmacies. She would continue to work for CVS as their Head Manager until her retirement. “Granny”, as she was known to most, will be missed by our community as a whole. In addition to her loving husband, Gilbert “Sarge” Sargent, Ann is survived by their children, Theresa Lancaster, Harrodsburg, Robin (Cyndi Ambrose) Sargent, IA, Russell Sargent, Versailles, Daniel Sargent, Versailles, and Randy (Barbara) Sargent, Versailles; a sister, Josephine (Jerry) Lattimore, IN; brothers, Roger (Cheryl) Warran, IN and Rodney (Penny) Warran, TN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and NUMEROUS nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Elnora Camby Warran; a brother, Ronnie Warran; and a great grandson, Robert Allen. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00a, Friday, September 11, 2020 at Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Sargent, Brandon Sargent, Ben Sargent, Mason Jessie, Johnny Shetrone, and Justin Jones. Brian Southerland will be serving as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00p on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill in Versailles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504.
