E. Viola (Vi) Smalley, 92, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021. Vi was born on July 9, 1929 to Ronald and Naomi Watson in Vernon, Texas. On September 28, 1949 Vi married Donald Smalley. They built a life together and had 4 children, Jerry, Leah, David and Beverly. They lived in California for years moving back to Idaho in 1968. They lived in Buhl for five years and then moved to Emmett. Vi worked for the U.S. Forest Service until her retirement. She really loved her work and all the people she worked with. Vi was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved her God Jehovah and looked forward to the promise at Revelation 21:3-5, Psalms 37:10 & 11. She looked forward to the promised new earth. Vi enjoyed her family camping trips and anything family. She always said best thing Dad and I did was have our children. She enjoyed reading the Bible, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She is predeceased by her husband Don and daughter in law Eileen Smalley. She is survived by her children Jerry Smalley, Leah(Tom) Tucker, David(Laina) Smalley, Beverly(John) Waits; grandchildren, Kenneth (Donna) Smalley, D.J. Smalley, Jake Barkley, Ashley (Lee) Osmialowski, Chelsey (Andrew) Trout, Andrea (Mark) Hugon; great grandchildren Tiffany Smalley, John Smalley, Fletcher Trout and Audree Osmialowski. We would like to thank everyone that gave us encouragement, meals and comfort at a difficult time. We want to thank Heart and Home Hospice for all the loving care they gave mom and the support they gave our family. Service were held at an earlier date.
