E. J. Walters

E J Walters, Jr. 69, of Stanley Valley Road, died unexpectedly on Thursday (August4, 2016). He was preceded in death by an infant son, Aaron Hugh Walters; his parents, E.J. Walters, Sr. and Ruby Walters; sister, Ann Walters Monroe. E J Walters, Jr. is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Page Walters; a son, E.J. Walters III and wife, Sandy; his daughter, Natasha Price; his sisters, Delores Hubbard and Jeanie Anderson. Calling hours will be held on Monday (August 8, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday (August 8, 2016) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Harold Hawkins, officiating. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday (August 9, 2016) at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Church Cemetery in Surgoinsville with Jonathan Page, Scott Bruner, Jonathan Anderson, Derek Anderson, Pete McConnell, and Travis Bragg serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession.
