Earl L. Cote
August 25th, 1928 - March 18th, 2012
"West Brookfield - Earl L. Cote, Sr., 83, of Madden Rd., passed away suddenly on March 18, 2012 in Mary Lane Hospital. He was born August 25, 1928 in Lowell, VT, son of Leo A. and Velma P. (Nichols) Cote. Earl had lived in W. Brookfield for the past year and a half and previously lived in Warren for over 20 years. He retired from Laid Law Bus Co. as a bus driver and previously worked for many years as a police officer for the town of Brimfield. He also held positions as a fireman, dog officer and auctioneer for the town of Brookfield. Earl also previously worked as a truck driver for Mayflower Trucking Co. in Southbridge and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in W. Warren. Earl was a true cowboy who loved to were his cow boy hat, listen to country music, watch old country movies and loved horses. He also enjoyed flea markets dancing and teasing his wife Karen. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Karen (Cooper) Cote of West Brookfield. He will also be sadly missed by 10 children Amanda, Sandra, Bonnie, Brenda, Donna, Debbie, Marilyn, Thomas, Robert and Michael and a brother Leo Cote in Dudley, MA, 47 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons David and Earl Cote, Jr., daughter Diana, sister Lillian Snyder and his dog Snuggles. The family wishes to receive friends on Sunday, March 25th from 2:00-4:00 pm. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on 2167 Main St., in W. Warren. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. "
