Mr. Earl Evans, age 68, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held at Hertiage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM on April 17, 2021 and due to covid-19 the reception will be for family only. The friends can greet the family from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM, April 17, 2021 at Hertiage Memorial Funeral Home. During the service we will be following Covid-19 guidelines. Masks must be worn at all times and please social distance. For those who cannot attend there will be a live stream of the service on Heritage Memorial Home Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/events/1142026496238953/ Mr. Earl was born on June 22, 1952 in Memphis Tennessee to Edward Evans and Mary Nell Files. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Nell Files, father Edward Evans, stepfather Ellie Files, sister Audrey Files, sister Crystal Files and sister Melody Files. Earl was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Frederick Douglas High School. Earl served in the United States Air Force from 1972 till 1996. After the military, Earl worked as a campus police officer in Bibb County with the Board of Education. Earl was a great provider and loving patriarch of his family. He enjoyed working as a volunteer at Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. He also was an active member of Robins Air Force Base Chapel and choir. Earl is survived by his children Sian Evans-Epps, Lacey Evans, Warren (Samantha) Tettey, Davon Evans and his grandchildren Alexander Curry, Stacey Evans-Epps, Alyssa Evans-Epps, Alani Petterson, Layna Harlan, Albert Tettey, Marley Tettey and great grandson Kingston Johnson. He is also survived by his siblings Linda Evans, Shirley Gail Files, Lisa (Andre) Richardson, Amanda (Joe) Lamorte, and Terry Evans. Also, he is survived by his loyal ex-wife Mary Evans and host of nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, please make any donations to St. Jude’s Research Children Hospital, an organization he was passionate about.
