Born in Oklahoma May 13, 1922 Left us for Marine Corp Heaven May 23, 2012 Earl and his family moved to Colorado when he was about one year old. His family lived in North West Denver most of his life. After Earl†™s dad died, he took care of his mother until her death. In 1942 he joined the United States Marine Corp and received his training in New Zealand. After training he spent most of the next three years in the Pacific Theater. He served in Bougainville, Guam, Mariana Islands, Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands, and Emirau Islands. While performing is duties, Earl was wounded and received the Purple Heart. Everything after this date is marked top secret, and is unavailable at this time. The war ended and Earl returned home and started where he left off, taking care of his mother and his first love golf. He left the Railroad and joined the US Postal Service where he was a mail carrier for the next thirty years. Earl and Virgie met in 1968 and married in 1973. From this date on we were Earl†™s family, his ready made family. Sam, Archie and Paula became his Children, and were treated and love as if we were his natural children. Earl received and welcomed seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren over the next several years. Earl talked about two things over the next thirty years, our mother, Virgie, and golf; he loved the Broncos which he watched every Sunday. I would be remiss if I didn†™t mention that our life changed for the better after Earl married our mother. There were so many changes I want can†™t list them all. Earl the Pearl, is one of the greatest people we have every known. From the first time we met Earl our life changed and he loved us and still does. EARL, WE LOVE YOU. Birth: May 13, 1922 Death: May 23, 2012
