Earl "Hap" Eugene Harper
October 6th, 1962 - June 14th, 2021
Earl ‘Hap’ Harper, 58, of Pierce, Colorado, as a cowboy in life, rode his horse to Heaven on June 14, 2021 from Greeley, Colorado. Hap was born in Kremmling, Colorado to Willis & Connie (Sanders) Harper on October 6, 1962. On May 11, 2015 in Pierce, Hap married the love of his life, Brenda (Buchholz) Harper. Born in Kremmling Colorado, resided on the family homesteaded ranch in Yampa Co. Later moved to Maybelle, Co. On another family each. He attended Maybelle and Craig schools. In high school hap was a FFA. member, he showed and sold his prize bull, used that money to purchase his truck and start his cassette music collection, making him know as the 'cool kid' lol. Hap later moved to the Front Range area, was doing rodeo Team roping, was part of the Larimer county sheriff’s dept. and posse. Later became an Appliance tech for many years. Hap enjoyments in life were, Team roping, cattle an horse drives, Branding, Racing lawnmowers, fishing and most importantly time with his wife and family. Hap battled GBM brain cancer for 2yrs 1 ½ months was beating a 3rd occurrence, which is Rare! He sadly was taken by a fall in the hospital. Hap was very strong and determined thrown his battle wanting to be with his wife and kids. Hap has taken his final ride where his path met up with heaven. Cowboys never die. They just ride away! Hap is survived by his wife Brenda (Buchholz) Harper; children, Ashley (Josh) Harper, Cody (Bailey) Huggans, Krystal, Hannah, and Dylan Harper; granddaughters, Kaycee Price, and Jozlynn Huggans; siblings, Jody (Travis) Sanders, Will (Glenda) Harper, Joyce (Darren) Kelley, and Billy (Ashley) Guess; J; parents Will (June) Harper, Connie (Jim) Herdon; and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Colten ‘Cooter’ Harper; uncle, Earl Harper; step dad Harley Guess, and 4 grandparents. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00am on Friday, July 2nd, 2021 at Northern Colorado Crematory- Community Room, 700 8th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
