Eddie Dean Bigham, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 16, 1948, in Chester County, South Carolina, Eddie spent his formative years in Great Falls, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late William Fletcher and Margret Wilson Bigham.

Eddie was a proud graduate of Great Falls High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong sense of community that he carried with him throughout his life.

For 55 wonderful years, Eddie was married to the love of his life, Rhoda M. Bigham. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Stacy Wiley (Stuart Wiley) and Robin Lotsey (Jason Lotsey), who were the pride and joy of Eddie’s life.

Eddie was also a devoted grandfather to four cherished grandchildren: Camryn and Carsyn Wiley, and Fisher and Kaitlyn Lotsey. He adored his grandchildren and took immense pleasure in watching them grow and thrive.

After a dedicated 40-year career at the South Carolina Highway Department, Eddie retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment to public service.

Eddie is survived by his sister, Doris Ross, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Robinson. His life was marked by his dedication to his family, his deep-rooted community ties, and his unwavering kindness. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his gentle demeanor, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
