Edith M. Chouinard
March 27th, 1914 - July 3rd, 2003
" Edith M. (Celentano) Chouinard, 89, of Willow Cir. died July 3, 2003 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born March 27, 1914, in Bethel, VT, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sabatina (Carideo) Celentano. Edith lived in Palmer, Springfield, and most recently Brimfield. She worked at Jarvis & Jarvis for 31 years and served the judicial system in Springfield for 7 years in a row, Grand Jury, Criminal, and Civil. Edith was active in town affairs and president of Edward T. Goodreau Post 1813 of the V.F.W. Auxiliary for 8 straight years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was very artistic with crocheting as well as being an active bowler as an instructor, a Champion and starting two leagues. Edith was predeceased by her two husbands, Vincent Lattell (1941) and Raymond E. Chouinard (1996). She is survived by a daughter Theresa Ann (Lattell) Holt and son-in-law, Alan; three grandchildren Allyson, Michelle, and Michael, and three great grandchildren Justine, Alicia, and Hannah. Edith was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Guy Celentano, and a sister Antoinette Brown. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Monson. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Edith’s memory to either the Salvation Army P.O. Box 1569, 285 Liberty St., Springfield,MA 01101 or to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1813. "
