Edmund L. George, 70, of Solvay, New York, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Loretto with his family by his side. Ed was an avid Syracuse Crunch Fan, attending every game he could. He also enjoyed going to Turning Stone Casino and Resort and playing table games. Ed was a good friend who enjoyed hanging with his buddies. Ed is predeceased by his parents, Randolph and Ruby (Webster) George; son, Jacob George; brother; Michael George; and sister, Donna Rae. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen Burke George; six sons, Edmund (Karen) George, Christopher (Karen) George, Joshua George, Daniel George and Edward George; three sisters, Marilyn George, Adrienne George and Diane (George) Seidenfus; five brothers, William George, Ronald (Sandy) George, Martin (Patty) George, Carl George and Lowell George; several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be from 11 AM to 12 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205, with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York immediately following services at the funeral home. Please visit the online memorial at www.ballweg-lunsford.com
