In loving memory of Dad, Edmund Ray Harrington Sr. born 7/19/32 and passed 7/21/13. Dad was born in Michigan in 1932 to Clyde and Thelma Harrington. He grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Dad joined the Marine Corp when he was 17, became a Staff Sergeant, served two tours in the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. Thirty-five years of Ed's life was spent serving our country, first in the Marines, second in the US Post office. Ed has lived all over the world and spoke many dialects. Dad was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. His happy smiling face and treats will be missed by all. He is survived by a brother, Paul Harrington, and a sister, Mary Szmytkowski. He leaves 4 children, Pam Harrington, Kathy Maples, Ed Harrington Jr. and Rebecca Harrington, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Full Military services to be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Friday, August 2nd, 2013 at 1:15pm. Please try to arrive up to 30 minutes early.
