Edna Milonovich
October 4th, 1918 - September 18th, 2008
Edna Milonovich, 89, formerly of Park Hill Adult Home passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 at River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam. She was born in Troy, NY October 4, 1918 a daughter of the late William and Lula Miller Wilson. Edna grew up in the Troy area and was a graduate of the former St. Jean's Grammar School in South Troy. She answered her Lord's call and entered the convent of St. Joseph on September 8, 1936. During this time Edna attended the College of Saint Rose and obtained her Bachelor of Arts. She went on to teach school while serving as a Sister of St. Joseph's until her departure from the convent in 1968. At this time, Edna went on to answer another calling in her life and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She practiced as an L.P.N. for a number of years at Mount Loretto Nursing Home in Amsterdam and for Patient Care Co. in Albany as a private duty nurse until her retirement in 1987. Edna married William Fralick in 1975, he predeceased her in 1987. She then married Leo S. Milonovich on July 7, 1989, who predeceased her on September 21, 2003. Her loving family includes her sister-in-law; Margaret Miller of Wappinger Falls, two nephews; William Miller of Wappinger Falls and Troy Tonya Miller of Stuart, FL, and her step-children; Robert, Ronald and Michael Milonovich, Daniel Miller and Patricia Naujeck. Edna was predeceased by her stepdaughter Evelyn Pearo. Funeral services will be held 8:45am Monday, September 22, 2008, at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Mickiewicz as celebrant. There will be no calling period. Interment with the Catholic Rite of Committal will follow in the parish cemetery. Contributions in Edna's memory may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, Manny Corners Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
