April 12th, 1943 - June 4th, 2011
Edward Lee Archer, 68, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on June 4, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1943 in Bakersfield, CA. Edward was an avid Oakland Raider's football Fan and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his daughters Christina (Rudy) Contreras Bonnie (Gerald) Chandler Malinda (Art) Pena all of Salinas sisters Verna Self of Oregon brothers Leroy Archer of Oregon Roger and Mark Archer both of Bakersfield eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren He is preceded in death by both parents Ruby and Vernon Archer and daughter, Joanna Archer A Private Family Service will be held.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
