Edward Joseph Ashcroft Sr. "Poppy" Passed away peacefully November 3, 2016. He was born January 15, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York and was a member of The Fraternal Order of Free & Accepted Masons. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Ann Ashcroft (nee Schumalski,) and son, Edward J. Ashcroft II. He is survived by his three sons Douglas (Angela) of Pinellas Park, Mark of Bonifay, and Kevin of Gulfport; daughter Karen (Robert) Hysell of Pinellas Park; six granddaughters, Danielle (Alex), Christine (Andrew), Kimberly (Michael), Karita, Alexis, and Isabella; five grandsons, Thomas (Katie) Everson, Douglas II, Mark II (Carlee), Robert II, and James; and five great-grandchildren, Scott, Megan, Thomas, Tobias, and Otto. On November 9, 2016 at Alife Tribute Funeral Care Gulfport Chapel the visitation begins at 9:30am with a Funeral Service to follow. A graveside service will be held at Noon at Woodlawn Memory Gardens
