Born in Rome, NY on Jan. 5, 1942, the son of the late Edward E. and Hazel Ziemann Bovee Stearns, he was raised and educated in the Camden NY school system. Ed proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Forrestal for 4 years and earned an honorable discharge after several Mediterannian and around the world cruises. Ed enjoyed travelling with his 5th wheel camper and big red truck seeing places such as Alaska to enjoy fishing for King Salmon a 51 ½ pounder was his biggest catch. He especially loved his black lab Katie, she went everywhere with him. He mostly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandsons Brenden and Caellan, who were his motivation to survive.
